The talent firm adds a Latin American delivery hub in Colombia

Insight Global has opened a new capability center in Bogotá, strengthening its presence in Latin America as demand for nearshore business services continues to expand.

The Atlanta-based talent and consulting company officially launched the facility on June 1. The new center will support corporate functions, client services, and consultant operations while serving as the company’s primary hub for its activities across Latin America.

The investment showcases a change among North American companies seeking to locate business services closer to home. Rather than relying exclusively on traditional offshore destinations, many organizations are turning to countries such as Colombia to access bilingual professionals, overlapping business hours, and closer collaboration with teams in the United States and Canada.

According to Insight Global, more than 1,500 professionals are currently working on client projects throughout the region.

“The rapid growth that we continue to see for nearshore capabilities really drives the need for a regional center of excellence in LATAM.” – Chris Abbeduto, Vice President of Global Operations, Insight Global.

Abbeduto said Bogotá was selected because of its deep talent pool, cultural alignment with North American clients, and time-zone compatibility that allows teams to collaborate during the same business day.

“This location is such a strategic play for us at Insight Global,” he said. “It will serve as an extension of our middle and back-office functions as well as being our hub for Latin American operations.”

The project took more than a year to complete. Employees hired for the Bogotá office are fully bilingual in English and Spanish and participate in the same onboarding, training, and operational programs as colleagues across the company’s global network. Insight Global said this approach is designed to maintain consistent service standards regardless of where client work is performed.

Bogotá has increasingly become a destination for multinational companies establishing shared services, technology, and business support centers. Its growing base of skilled professionals, strong university system, and proximity to North American markets have helped position the Colombian capital as one of the region’s leading locations for nearshore operations.

Insight Global provides staffing, consulting, managed services, and artificial intelligence solutions to more than 3,200 client organizations worldwide. The company says it employs nearly 40,000 people across more than 40 countries, supporting projects in cloud computing, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, enterprise technology, data analytics, software engineering, and applied engineering.

The company also notes that it can source talent in more than 50 countries through its international recruitment network, allowing clients to build teams across multiple markets while working through a single provider.

The Bogotá capability center represents another step in Insight Global’s international growth strategy as businesses look for flexible workforce models that combine specialized expertise and geographic proximity. As digital transformation initiatives accelerate and organizations expand their use of AI-enabled technologies, access to highly skilled bilingual professionals is expected to remain a key factor influencing where companies choose to build their regional support operations.
