AI Audio Tools Standardize Content Quality for Creators

At the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) Show in Las Vegas, Waves Audio introduced Voice ReGen, a web-based service that utilizes artificial intelligence to process voice audio for video and podcast production.

The company, which has historically provided audio technology for music production and post-production, developed this platform to address common technical challenges in content creation. Producers frequently encounter audio defects such as background noise, ambient room echo, and inconsistent recording levels. These issues can negatively impact viewer engagement and perceived content quality.

Voice ReGen operates as a web application, allowing users to upload existing video or audio files for processing. The system applies automated algorithms to remove background noise, mitigate room echo, restore missing frequency ranges, and stabilize volume levels. The stated objective is to provide a broadcast-ready audio track without requiring manual mixing or specialized audio engineering expertise.

In addition to audio processing, the software includes a teleprompter interface and direct recording functionality. This allows users to record audio and video within the application while viewing a script, theoretically reducing the need for multiple takes.
