Digital transformation company Nortal has announced its acquisition of Nearsure, a technology solutions provider based in the US, with strong ties to Uruguay, and a workforce distributed across 18 countries in Latin America. The acquisition is the largest in Nortal’s history and is aimed at expanding its footprint in the Americas.
Founded in 2018, Nearsure provides services including enterprise solutions, low-code and SaaS development, AI-driven digital transformation, custom software development, and staff augmentation. The company lists Adobe (NASDAQ: ADBE), Microsoft (NASDAQ: MSFT), Salesforce (NYSE: CRM), and ServiceNow (NYSE: NOW) as partners.
According to Priit Alamäe, founder and CEO of Nortal, the acquisition will significantly bolster the company’s US presence and provide a platform for global expansion. Alamäe stated that Nearsure’s expertise in enterprise platform solutions and low-code development complements Nortal’s existing services. The combined strategy will utilize Nortal’s US presence while leveraging Nearsure’s Latin American talent for service delivery in nearshore time zones.
Giuliana Corbo, CEO of Nearsure, commented that the merger provides Nearsure’s talent with global scale. She added that by “combining AI-led delivery with human ingenuity, we’ll be better equipped to respond to our clients’ evolving needs.” Corbo noted that Nearsure’s clients will now have access to expanded capabilities, including Nortal’s services in AI, cybersecurity, and digital transformation.
As part of the integration, Nearsure will be merged with Nortal’s US operations and is expected to rebrand under the Nortal name in 2025. The management teams of both companies in the US and Latin America will also be merged, with Corbo joining the new leadership structure.
The combined entity plans to focus on expanding its services within several key sectors in the United States, including healthcare, education, utilities and energy, manufacturing, automotive, telecommunications, media and entertainment, financial services, retail, and hospitality. Nortal also intends to introduce its government digitalization services to the US market.
