Second annual mixer connects 70 apprentices with hiring managers in Las Vegas

The NAB Leadership Foundation and NAB PILOT will hold their second career mixer for technology students at the 2026 NAB Show, scheduled for April 18 from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. in Room N225/226 of the North Hall at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

The event will bring together approximately 70 participants from the Foundation’s Technology Apprenticeship Program (TAP) and NAB PILOT’s NextGen TV Fellowship with recruiters and industry partners seeking to fill entry-level engineering and technology positions at broadcast stations across the US.

Michelle Duke, president of the NAB Leadership Foundation, said the participants represent a pool of technically trained candidates available to hiring managers ahead of formal interview processes. “The foundation’s TAP students along with the NextGen fellows represent the next generation of technically trained individuals who are embracing innovation and shaping the future of broadcasting,” Duke said. She added that the mixer is intended to give recruiters early access to candidates before they enter the broader job market.

Organizations attending the mixer pay a participation fee that includes space to display recruitment materials and access to a student roster with resumes. Space is limited, and recruiters are directed to contact Tim Dotson at the National Association of Broadcasters to confirm attendance.

The Technology Apprenticeship Program provides training, mentorship, and industry exposure to college students and recent graduates pursuing careers in broadcast engineering and technology. The NextGen TV Fellowship, operated by NAB PILOT, introduces students to practical experience in the television broadcast industry.

The 2026 NAB Show runs April 18–22 in Las Vegas, with exhibits open April 19–22. Produced by the National Association of Broadcasters, the event is organized around programming tracks covering artificial intelligence, the creator economy, sports broadcasting, streaming, and cloud infrastructure. The National Association of Broadcasters is the trade and advocacy organization representing US radio and television broadcasters in legislative, regulatory, and public affairs matters.
