CueScript debuts CuePad and NextGen software at NAB 2026, advancing IP-based teleprompting for mobile and multi-talent broadcast environments.

STRATFORD, Connecticut — CueScript, a developer of professional teleprompting hardware and software, has announced the introduction of three technical updates to be demonstrated at the NAB Show 2026. The releases include a mobile application, a redesigned software engine, and a hardware mounting solution intended for multi-presenter broadcast environments.

“Our goal is to empower talent, engineers and production teams with tools that are intuitive, reliable, and adaptable.” — Michael Accardi, President of CueScript

The company, which maintains operations in the US and the United Kingdom, will showcase the products at the Las Vegas Convention Center from April 19 to April 22, 2026. The updates focus on the integration of Internet Protocol (IP) connectivity into traditional prompting workflows, reflecting a broader industry shift toward decentralized and mobile production.

Mobile Integration via CuePad

The new CuePad application is designed to convert iOS devices into functional teleprompting monitors. Utilizing the proprietary CueTALK connectivity protocol, the app aims to replicate the rendering performance of the company’s dedicated V2 hardware monitors. This includes features for horizontal mirroring and vertical flipping to accommodate standard teleprompter glass configurations.

The application is intended for use in specialized camera setups, such as jibs, Steadicam rigs, and handheld systems, where traditional monitor weight may be prohibitive. By leveraging the processing power of mobile devices, the system provides frame-accurate scrolling across local networks, allowing for rapid deployment in temporary or field-based studio environments.

Software and Hardware Updates

In addition to mobile tools, CueScript is launching the NextGen version of its CueiT software. The update features a rebuilt text editor designed to manage large-scale script revisions with a focus on low-latency performance. Key technical improvements include a non-destructive undo and redo system, integrated runorder management tools, and a customizable user interface that allows producers to modify the layout based on specific control room requirements.

For physical studio configurations, the manufacturer has introduced the Above-Hood Talent Monitor Mount. This hardware accessory allows for the installation of a second talent monitor—specifically the 22-inch or 24-inch models—directly above the prompter hood. The design is intended to provide secondary sightlines for additional on-set participants without interfering with the primary camera lens alignment.

The National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) exhibition serves as the primary venue for these debuts. CueScript will demonstrate how these tools interface with existing IP-based workflows, targeting broadcasters and corporate media departments seeking to reduce the complexity of multi-script live productions.
