Infosys BPO Arm Rebrands as Infosys BPM Limited

Formerly known as Infosys BPO Limited, the business process outsourcing arm of Infosys Limited has changed its name to Infosys BPM Limited.

The Indian company, which celebrated its five-year anniversary trading on the New York Stock Exchange this month, said in a statement that the rebrand was designed to reflect the evolving nature of the services that the company now offers, with BPM standing for “business process management.”

This term better captures its offerings, says Infosys, including robotic software, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and predictive analytics. “The scope and complexity of business processing work and the expectations of clients have changed significantly over the past few years as clients expect transformative value much beyond arbitrage through outsourcing and offshoring,” stated the company.

The change was approved by the Indian Ministry of Corporate Affairs.

“The change in the name signifies our vision of ‘reimagining business processes’ across experience, effectiveness and efficiency,” said Anantha Radhakrishnan, chief executive officer and managing director of Infosys BPM.
