Dubai-based bank Mashreqbank has adopted robotic process automation (RPA) solutions from Blue Prism. The financial institution has already begun implementing the London-based provider’s “Digital Workforce” and artificial intelligence technology to automate “dozens of mission-critical processes across multiple business functions,” said Blue Prism in a statement.
In addition to banking operations, Mashreq has sought to use RPA within its compliance, customer service, and IT help desk functions. The bank’s automation journey has allowed Mashreq to make some 150,000 successful transactions daily with the help of automation, according to the company.
The Blue Prism solutions have reduced customer complaints by 90% and manual processes are seeing a 65% better “issue turnaround time,” stated the firm.
Sandeep Chouhan, group head of operations and technology at Mashreq, said that his firm opted to go with Blue Prism for its track record when it comes to scalability and security.
“The efficiencies and improvements enabled by Blue Prism’s ‘Digital Workforce’ operating system cut across numerous departments and enable us to be more responsive and agile as an organization,” said Chouhan.
