After COVID Delays, TaskUs Cuts Ribbon On New Cali, Colombia Contact Center Facility

Business process outsourcing firm TaskUs (NASDAQ: TASK) opened the doors of its Cali office, “The Arena” to employees last week, after operating in the Colombian city under a remote modality for the past year. A ceremonial ribbon-cutting event was held with employees, journalists, local dignitaries, and TaskUs leadership.

“As we embrace the new normal, we now have hundreds of employees that are finally coming to The Arena,” said Guillermo Ulloa, TaskUs Colombia Vice President of Operations. “The feedback from our teammates has been very positive. They love the colors, the lighting, the sports-themed lobby, and the soccer field! They are also very much looking forward to physically working alongside their fellow teammates and experiencing everything our site facilities have to offer.”

TaskUs Colombia started its operations in March of 2021 with remote employees, while the easing of COVID-19 restrictions is allowing TaskUs to transition to on-site operations with on-site programming such as fun activities and wellness support.

The Arena features bright, collaborative, and modern workspaces, including recreational areas such as a gym, a cafe, meditation rooms, and game rooms for all employees to use. The new office is located in the north of the city close to the Chipichape Mall, where employees can dine or unwind after work.

“The Arena has a vibrant and colorful personality that represents the mutual culture of TaskUs and Cali,” said Hemant Sehgal, TaskUs senior vice president of operations. “It serves to inspire, energize, and invigorate the minds and bodies of our teammates on and off work, all while having fun. We are excited to welcome our teammates on-site, while supporting them throughout the process, and for more Caleños to discover what makes the TaskUs employee experience truly ridiculously good.”
