UiPath Hires Former GE Executive Ashim Gupta as Chief Customer Success Officer

Robotic process automation (RPA) software provider UiPath has hired former GE executive Ashim Gupta as its chief customer success officer.

In the newly created role at UiPath, Gupta will lead a team that works to help clients get the most out of their RPA software, something he calls a “game-changer for business operations and cost productivity.”

Implementing tech innovations was core to his previous duties at GE, and he will bring that knowledge to bear in his new position, the company said in a statement.

“I’ve experienced the value of this software firsthand, and the potential for enterprise automation is only going to increase as the technology advances and matures,” said Gupta. “UiPath is at the forefront of this monumental change, and I could not be more excited to lead our customers through their digital transformation journeys.”

Ashim Gupta joins the New York-based firm after having served as senior vice president and chief information and automation officer of the Fortune 15 company’s shared services group and chief financial officer of GE Water.

Daniel Dines, chief executive officer of UiPath, has long counted Gupta, who used the RPA provider’s offerings when implementing GE’s first robotics platform, as a friend of the firm.

“He shares our vision for how automation can drastically improve business performance, and the results he’s delivered for GE using RPA underscore the viability of that vision,” said Dines. “We are extremely confident in his ability to draw on his experiences to provide best-in-class recommendations and service to our clients.”
